Elena is the Head of Real-Time Payments and Open Banking Products at Visa–Canada. Elena has served in various capabilities, including IT and finance, and is recognized by her peers as an innovator in the industry. Before joining Visa, Elena was most recently an advisor and interim CxO. As an advisor, she assisted companies and start-ups with market research, strategic Partnership, product management, and go-go-to-market strategies.
Before her consulting period, Elena worked as the VP of Product for Synctera. Elena was also a co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Pillar.
She has been a featured speaker at WWW, IBM Insights, Payments Summit, and Women in Payments, among other gatherings, conversant on topics such as the digital economy that paves the way for CBDCs (digital currencies issued by central banks) and alternative payment methods.
